Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-24
These terms are the agreement between you and QRvora. Using the service means you accept them. We have kept them short and specific, and the term most people care about, how long a code keeps working, is near the top rather than buried at the bottom.
What the service does
QRvoragenerates QR codes. Static codes carry their content inside the printed pattern. Dynamic codes encode a short link we host, so scanning one asks our servers where to go, and you can change that destination after printing. Dynamic codes therefore depend on us continuing to answer, which is what "How long a code keeps redirecting" below sets out.
Your account
You need a valid email address, and you must confirm it before you can create or change anything. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password safe. One person or organisation per account; team members get their own sign in through the team feature rather than sharing yours.
How long a code keeps redirecting
Static codes never expire. The destination is inside the pattern. Nothing we do can switch one off, because nothing we run is involved when someone scans it.
Dynamic codes redirect for as long as a plan covers them:
- Free plan: 12 months from the day the code is created.
- Paid plans: for as long as the subscription is active, plus 30 days after it ends, whether it ends because you cancelled or because a payment failed.
- Whichever window is longer applies, so paying for a period never leaves a code worse off than never having paid.
We email the code's owner 30 days before, 7 days before, and on the day a code stops. After it stops, a scan reaches a page saying the code is inactive. Nothing is deleted: upgrading reactivates the code immediately, and the printed pattern does not change, so there is nothing to reprint.
Plan limits work the same way. Downgrading below the number of codes you have does not switch the extra codes off. It stops you creating new ones until you are back under the limit.
Plans, payment and refunds
Prices are shown on the pricing page and include the limits for each plan. Payment is handled by our payment provider acting as Merchant of Record: they are the seller for the transaction, they collect any VAT or sales tax due, and their terms apply to the payment itself.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for.
- Annual plans are refundable pro rata within the first 14 days. Monthly plans are not refunded for a partial month.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A new price applies from your next renewal, never mid period.
Acceptable use
Do not use QRvora to point people at, or to host:
- Phishing, malware, or anything designed to deceive or infect.
- Content that is illegal where you or your scanners are, including material that sexualises children.
- Someone else's brand or identity presented as your own.
- Content you do not have the rights to distribute.
Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service, and do not use automated access outside the documented API and its quotas.
Safety checks and takedowns
We check destination URLs against a safety service. If a destination is later flagged, scanners see a warning page first and can still choose to continue.
If we confirm a code is being used for phishing, malware or other serious abuse, we will block it. A blocked code stops redirecting immediately and any files behind it stop being served. This is the one case where a code stops without notice, and it exists so that the people scanning are not harmed. Anyone can report a code at /report, and you can appeal a block by contacting us.
Your content
Your content stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store it, and to display it to people who scan your codes. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. You confirm you have the rights to whatever you upload or link to.
Custom domains
If you connect your own domain, you confirm you control it. You are responsible for its DNS and for renewing the registration. If it stops pointing at us, or ownership can no longer be confirmed, new links fall back to our default domain so that codes keep working. If your domain lapses and someone else registers it, we cannot control where codes already printed on it then lead.
API and fair use
API access is included from the Starter plan up, with the monthly request quota shown on the pricing page. We may throttle or suspend access that threatens the service for other customers, and we will tell you why if we do.
Availability
We work to keep redirects fast and available, and we treat them as the most important thing we run. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on any plan, and the service is provided without one unless we have separately agreed otherwise in writing.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or the cost of reprinting materials. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 units of the billing currency.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms, you will cover the reasonable costs and damages that result.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Deleting the account removes your codes, scans, files, keys and webhooks, and every code you created stops redirecting at once. This cannot be undone, so export your data first if you want it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches Acceptable use, that is used to harm others, or where payment fails and stays unresolved. Except for serious abuse, we will give you notice and a chance to put it right.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, including any change to how long a code keeps redirecting, we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. If you do not, cancel before it takes effect and we will refund any unused prepaid period.
