What happens when someone scans it
If found
Their location, in one tap
The finder taps Text or WhatsApp and the message to you already has a map link to where they are. Their phone asks first, and the page never stores it.
Lost mode when it matters
Mark it lost from your dashboard and every scan shows your note first: where it went missing, a reward, who to call. Switch it off when you're back together.
Change details, keep the tag
New phone number, new home? Update the page and the engraved or printed tag keeps working. Nothing on the tag goes out of date.
Common questions
Does the finder need an app?+
No. Any phone camera opens the page in the browser. Calling, texting and WhatsApp use the apps already on their phone.
Is my phone number public?+
Whatever you add is shown to anyone who scans the tag, so add only what you're happy for a stranger to see. You can leave the number out and use an email, or show just your first name.
How is the finder's location shared?+
Only if they tap Text or WhatsApp and their phone's location prompt is accepted. The map link goes into the message they send you from their own phone. We never see or store it.
What size should the tag be?+
Pet tags work from about 2.5 cm across if you leave a margin around the code and print or engrave it in high contrast. Test it with two phones before you attach it.
